Blue Flame Soul was born from two lives lived in pursuit of what matters most — and a shared conviction that those lives could become something that serves others.

We are Julie and Destre Holloway, co-founders, co-owners, and partners in every sense of the word. We built this
together because we believe that energy work, intentional living, and art are not luxuries — they are part of what it means to take care of yourself and the people you love.

We also believe that every person who finds their way here deserves to be treated with dignity, warmth, and genuine respect.

Blue Flame Soul is a space where all are welcome — exactly as you are.

Behind the name - Blue Flame Soul

Blue Flame Soul is more than a name — it’s a belief system woven into three words.

Blue carries multiple layers of meaning for us. It is the color of the hottest, most powerful flame. It is deeply spiritual, associated with the archangels and the unseen forces that guide and protect us. And it is one of the few colors that has historically transcended gender — belonging to everyone, always.

Flame is the energy at the center of everything we do. It is the warmth and life force that moves through a Reiki & Energy session, flowing from practitioner to recipient in ways that can’t always be explained but can always be felt. It is also the creative fire — the inner energy that Destre pours into every painting, the part of the artistic process that goes beyond technique and into something that simply has to come out.

Soul reaches beyond the physical. It is the truest, deepest part of who we are — the part that exists before and after everything else, that knows things our conscious minds haven’t caught up to yet. We believe every person carries a soul worthy of care, worthy of beauty, and worthy of being seen.

And held within all three words is something personal: we are two people whose energies are so deeply intertwined that building something together wasn’t a business decision — it was an inevitability.

    Destre has been painting his entire life — not as a hobby, not as a side pursuit, but as a calling that announced itself early and never let go.

    His artistic recognition began at age seven, when a drawing of his was selected for a national retail display tour across the United States. That early spark grew into a body of work that
    has earned him standing as a juried member of Summit Art and recognition as a professional fine artist whose original paintings have been sold to private collectors across fourteen states. His work has been featured at Saint Luke’s Art Gallery in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where he was named Artist of the Month and sold multiple paintings. He also holds the distinction of having sold the first painting at Truman Art Gallery in the Kansas City metro area — chosen from among hundreds of regional artists. His participation in the Grandview Art and Music Festival and Summit Art Festivals has brought his original oils and reproduction prints to collectors throughout the region. In 2018, he received an Art Achievement Award and took the Grand Prize for an original oil painting.

    At Blue Flame Soul, Destre serves as creative director — producing original works and reproduction prints for the gallery, directing the visual identity of the brand, and bringing to every corner of this business the same intentionality he brings to the canvas.

    His aura portrait sessions sit at the intersection of his artistic gift and the energy work that runs through the heart of Blue Flame Soul. Each portrait is an attempt to capture something true
    about a person that a photograph never quite could — the soul behind the face.

    For Destre, art is energy. The same flame that moves through a Reiki & Energy session moves through the brush. He has always believed that — and Blue Flame Soul is the place where that belief finally has a home.

  • Julie Holloway Co-Founder, Reiki Master & Energy Practitioner

    Julie has spent twelve years studying, practicing, and deepening her relationship with Reiki — not because it was a career path she planned, but because she felt its impact and couldn’t imagine not sharing it with others.

    She is a registered professional member of the International Center for Reiki Training and holds certifications that place her among a relatively small number of practitioners in the United
    States trained at this level.

    Her credentials include:

     •  Usui/Holy Fire® III Reiki Ryoho Reiki Master Teacher — International Center for Reiki Training

    •  Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher — the most advanced certification offered through the ICRT

    •  Animal Reiki Practitioner I & II —
    International Center for Reiki Training

    •  Certified Crystalpedia Crystal Healer
    — International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine — studied under Dr. Athena Perrakis

    •  Certified Sound Healer — International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine — studied under Dr. Athena Perrakis

    In 2025, Julie completed an additional Reiki Master certification under William Lee Rand — an internationally recognized Reiki authority who has taught full-time since 1989 and authored Reiki for a New Millennium. She has volunteered as an assistant
    Reiki I and II trainer, and offered Animal Reiki services at Firefly’s Wildlife Rescue. In April and September 2025, she partnered to offer Reiki & Energy sessions at the Denver, Colorado Mind, Body, and Spirit events — bringing her practice to a regional audience of wellness seekers.

    What drives Julie isn’t the credentials, though. It’s the people. She has a deep, genuine passion forhelping others find relief, restoration, and a sense of inner calm. Whether she’s working with a client one-on-one, teaching a certification class, or offering distance sessions to someone across the country, her intention is always the same: to show up with her whole heart, offer what she has been trained and called to give, and trust that energy always knows where it needs to go.
